Sunny Dhoor Felicitated Michigan USA Mar 1 2009
Mr. Sunny Dhoorh celebrated his 15th marriage anniversary with his wife Neeraj Saini in Grand Rapids, MI on Saturday 02/28/2009. On this occassion, a large gathering was present including Kent County Democratic
leaders, judges, attorneys, Congressman, Commissioners, Directors and Mayor for the city of Grand Rapids along with his wife.
Besides great food and drinks, Belly dancing was the center of entertainment. Everyone enjoyed the music, food and Belly dancing. Everyone was dancing Bhangra, North Indian dance all evening while eating, drinking, socializing and watching Belly dancing. The party was a blast.
Mr. Dhoorh was presented a Humanitarian Award for 2008-2009 from the State of Michigan on this occassion also for his long involvement in humanitarian activities who works to improve others' lives and reduce suffering; and WHEREAS, Paramveer Singh (Sunny Dhoorh) is the President of the Punjabi Cultural
Society of Michigan and is the first Indian to receive the "Humanitarian Award 2008-2009" award by the State of Michigan; and WHEREAS, Paramveer Singh (Sunny Dhoorh) is praised for his devotion and loyalty,
outstanding leadership qualities and contributions involving his hard work in his coomunity, Paramveer Singh (Sunny Dhoorh) is recognized for his great moral conviction and valuable contributions through his social work.
Mr. Dhoorh thanked the State of Michigan for this recognition and this great award. Mr. Dhoorh is the first Indian who received Humanitarian Award. Everyone applauded when this award was presented to Mr. Dhoorh by Michael Sak (D), Speaker of the House. Mr. Dhoorh received Man of the Year award from the State of Michigan 3 times before this also in addition to Amazing Asian 2 times award presented by the State of Michigan.
Mr. Dhoorh also received Amazing Asian award from the Asia Center in 2008.

Girl Students to get a Boost- Prabhu lal Saini Dec 17 Jaipur Girl students who want to pursue a career in the area of Agriculture in the state will now get monetary assistance from the Government of Rajasthan. Girl students will be able to avail a certain amount of money while pursuing senior-secondary, under-graduate, post-graduate and PhD degrees in the subject. "Girls and women are playing a very important role in growth of agriculture in the rural parts of the state. The objective behind the scheme is to encourage more girls to come into agriculture sector and to acquaint them with the latest technologies," said Agricultural Minister Prabhulal Saini. |

Ajit Saini leaves for heavenly abode. Dec. 10, 07 The well-known journalist, punjabi writer and veteran freedom fighter of the INA era died on monday after a brief illness. Ajit Saini was associated with popular news daily Daily Ajit. He served in the Indian National Army founded by the hero Subash Chander Bose and made significant contribution towards the Indian Freedom Struggle. Asha Saini to 'Mayuri' Sep 2007 The film industry is known for sentiments and at the same time many give preference to numerology to change their names for luck. Following suggestions from her well-wishers and friends, Asha Saini turned 'Mayuri' for more luck. It may be mentioned here that Siva Shankara Vara Prasad had changed his name to Chiranjeevi and Bhaktavatsalam Naidu turned Mohanbabu and rose to the level of stars and reached higher positions in the film industry. Asha Saini had also changed her name to become a big star on those lines. The Northern India Saini Cultural Society (Regd) Elections Sep 23 2007 The election for the governing body of the society has been indefinitely postponed due to a stay granted by the session court after one of the life members, Mr. Minder Singh of U.K. complained that he was not intimated on time about the date. Next hearing of the case is on Oct. 1, 2007. There were three contestants for the post of President, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi (Ex-MP), Mr. Harbagh Singh Desumajra and Mr. Tejinder Singh. |
